I watched last week's episode of Glee and am watching tonight's as well. I really like this show. I love tv musicals, I love high school soaps, and this year I am all about the pop culture comfort food.

I had a horrible travel nightmare this past weekend and needed to recoup. So, I watched the ten(!!) first episodes of Mad Men. I really liked that a lot. It was soapier than I expected, but I still enjoy the writing and the acting is great. Jon Hamm is unreasonably good as Donald Draper. I'll have some more involved reflections after I finish the season. It was very nice to see some familiar faces!! Saffron from Firefly, Connor from Angel, and one of the actors from Law & Order, although I can't pin her name down right now.

I watched the pilot episode of the HBO series Hung. Not sure how much more of this I'll watch although I do have the whole first season ready to go.  I thought the premise was pretty messed up. The guy has all these awful things happen to him, he's a working class guy in Detroit, and he comes to the conclusion that it's all his own responsibility and therefore he should use his own "talents" to solve his financial problems and become a prostitute. The lead actor really overacts, but I still am willing to give this show a chance, if it lays off the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" angle and takes itself a little less seriously.

Right now, though, just quivering with anticipation for this week's episode of Eastwick. Squeee!
