You wanna know something?
I am trying really hard to like Nip/Tuck. Tonight I'm watching my third ep of the show, but so far it just hasn't hooked me. I keep trying because many people who have interests similar to mine like this show. And it's obviously not completely without redeeming qualities. It can be funny, there are attractive people, and the stories are somewhat interesting. What I mean to say is that it's not obviously worse than any of the other shows with which I am absolutely obsessed. So I keep trying, even though I really, really don't need another fandom. Alas.

I wanted to watch this because it gave Jules something to do after Charmed but damn I really dont like it at all.

I feel like it's not ironic enough. It portrays this whole world of superficiality and Better Living Through Plastic Surgery but it doesn't understand how silly that all is. I want it to editorialize on plastic surgery more than it does, but the show actually depends on hot, abnormally proportioned women sleeping with its protagonists for a good part of its appeal.

I don't mean to be ragging on the show, especially post-O.C./Smallville kerfluffle. But I just feel like it's not exploiting all of its potential.

I watched The O.C. again tonight, and I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed. I liked the last ep, but I didn't feel this one at all. It seemed like a soap with a bunch of straight teenagers, half of whom can't act. What did you think?

Yeah, I watched it once because of the guy that was on "Witchblade" (he played Gabriel) But the show wasn't all that great and since I'm short on time... plus I've watched one ep of The O.C. and I like that better so I'll stick with that right now.

I am so glad I'm not the only one. It's a shame, because the show seems to have so much darn potential.
